Trvlrr vs TripIt

Trvlrr vs TripIt: the itinerary, and everything after it.

TripIt made forwarding a confirmation email the normal way to build an itinerary, and does it well. Trvlrr does that too — and keeps the trip afterwards: the photos, the places, and a lifetime of travel stats.

Facts checked 1 October 2026.

In short

TripIt and Trvlrr, side by side.

TripIt (from SAP Concur) is a travel organiser built around the trip in front of you. Forward a confirmation to plans@tripit.com and it builds the itinerary, free. TripIt Pro (US$49 a year) adds real-time flight alerts, seat tracking, fare-refund monitoring and points tracking. It runs on iPhone, Android and the web, and keeps travel stats for up to the past seven years.

Trvlrr also builds the itinerary from forwarded bookings, then treats the trip as part of a record that goes back as far as you like: your photos filed under each trip and searchable by what's in them, a map and passport of every country and city you've visited, Relive, and a seat for the person you travel with. It's iPhone and web only, and has no live flight alerts.

Which to choose

Honestly, it depends on the trip.

TripIt may suit you if…

You fly for work and want live gate and delay alerts, you use Android, or your company runs on SAP Concur.

Trvlrr may suit you if…

You want the trip to stay with you after you're home — the photos, the places, the countries counted — or you plan with the person you travel with, or with Claude or ChatGPT.

Questions

Asked and answered

Is Trvlrr a good TripIt alternative?

If you use TripIt to organise holidays and want to keep the trips afterwards, yes: Trvlrr builds the itinerary the same way and adds photos, a full travel history and stats. If you need live flight alerts or Android, TripIt Pro is the better fit.

Can I import my TripIt trips into Trvlrr?

There's no direct import. You can forward the original confirmation emails to your Trvlrr address, or paste a trip into Claude or ChatGPT with Trvlrr connected and ask it to bring the trip across.

Is Trvlrr free like TripIt?

Trvlrr is free to start, including forwarding (three imports a month), itineraries, offline trips, the map and stats. Trvlrr Plus is A$3.99 a month or A$24.99 a year. See pricing.
